Hey guys,
Welcome back to our new update. Today it's going to be all about the services and facilities Macquarie University provides for the better lifestyle of the students.
Macquarie University has a lot of facilities to offer help students with their ongoing studies. The MQU the-state-of-the-art library that has the largest academic library in Northern Sydney. The library holds over 1.8 million printed and electronic items, maps, work proceedings, multimedia, books, journals, papers, reports, etc. New items are regularly updated in the library to ensure high quality of service and resources that are available for learning, teaching and research. It has a very eco-friendly design that inspires the future generations for a sustainable earth.
The native park lands of the campus have inspired an innovative design which aims to set impressive sustainability standards such as :
  • External shade fins
  • A green roof with grass and gardens
  • Use of recycled material in construction
  • Natural light wells for lower floors
  • An automated Storage and retrieval system
  • Zoned lighting

A brand new facility that MQU provides are sleeping pods that are inspired from one of the most reputed businesses in the world i.e. Google. This is so that students can have a short power nap of 30-45 minutes to provide them with more energy for the day as well as greater focus and motivation for learning purposes. This can be really helpful during the exam period.

Another crucial facility MQU provides is Macquarie OneNet, which is the internet connection at MQU. it is one of the fastest internet connections in Sydney for universities which is awesome. For "schoolworks"...!
